Benton Peugh received his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Drawing and Painting from the University of Kansas in 1969. The following year he attended Rutgers University in New Brunswick, New Jersey where he received his Master of Fine Arts in Painting and Sculpture in 1971.
In 1969 Benton's work appeared in a number of group shows in the Kansas City/St. Louis, MO area and since that time his art has been featured in over three dozen group and solo exhibitions. Numbered among them are the following featured exhibitions:
