Randy McCoy was born in 1968 in Buffalo, New York. From 1986 to 1991 he attended California State University in San Bernardino, California majoring in painting and subsequently received a Harry Sternberg scholarship to the Art Student's League of New York where he was a student of Richard Pousette-Dart through 1992.



Since 1991 Randy's work has been shown in over three dozen solo and group exhibitions. His work has also frequently been featured and reviewed in such publications as the Seattle Weekly, The Seattle Times, Metropolitan Living Magazine, and the Anchorage Daily News.



In 1997, Randy was Grand Prize winner at the Center on Contemporary Art's Annual Northwest Show held in Seattle, WA.
